This thing is awesome.
There was a bit of a Seinfeld moment at work. Like every new iPhone owner, I’m ready & willing to do adhoc demos.
Random Person: Wow, the browser on that is pretty cool.
Bill: Yeah, now check out the photos.
R: Hey, they rotate!
B: Yeah, just turn it. You can zoom in too.
R: That is awesome.
B: And of course, there’s music.
R: You just scroll with our finger?
B: Yeah, quickly or slowly.
… music starts to play …
R: Show me email.
B: Right here… just go home, tap, and viola!, email.
R: You can send & read?
B: Yep.
R: How is it as a phone?
… silent pause …
B: Ummm, I haven’t used it as a phone.

That’s awesome! I loved the demo transcript. I must admit I was tempted, but I am going to stick with my blackberry for now.

I was expecting to have at least a little buyers remorse because of the cost. None! Not even a little.
On you, Bill, that thing could be a watch. You should get one of those arm bands and put it on your wrist.

Seriously, how is it as a phone? According to the reviews, the number of steps to place a call begs a certain hmmm factor (I’m sure there will be a hack soon)…how’s the rf? And if you’ve ever had HSDPA or EV-DO service, can you live with EDGE?
Not that there is a blackberry with 3G service, but I’ll be switching soon to either the BB Curve or something perhaps a little sleeker…
