(Right now is an exception, as my office moved and I haven't caught up yet.) Gore has never advocated living in a small house, and while he could be paying extra for alternative energy, it is arguably better to buy carbon based energy and then buying carbon credits, than using alternative energy sources. As for who pays for the tax credits for his jet-set promotion tour... doesn't really matter whether it's him or his publisher. In the end it comes out of his pocket.
