Eagle Creek Switchback Max ES Wheeled Pack
On Brandon’s advice, I picked up a Eagle Creek Switchback Max ES Wheeled Pack 25 for my trip to Europe. It has wheels, like a normal roller bag, making it easy to lug around airports, etc. But for those areas where you want a traditional backpack (stairs, cobblestone streets, etc.) it has hidden straps so you can wear it like a internal frame backpack. It also has a detachable pack up front, so you can leave your clothes back in the hotel, detach the daypack, with maps, bottles of water, etc.

Also try the Eagle Creek Pack-It Cubes. They are great for keeping everything seperate and organized within a backpack. They also make packing and unpacking a breeze.

Hi Rick, I liked it. I didn’t carry the whole thing as a backpack that often, but it was still a pretty good buy. I liked the detached daypack — that was quite useful.
