Kalashnikov

What do you do after inventing the AK-47?

Make your own vodka, of course.

Because nothing goes together better than vodka and automatic weapons. Wheee!!!

Girls, man! You forgot girls. The General didn’t though. He has the Nikita Girls, whom you can even hire to work your party with a bottle of vodka and a bandolier of shot glasses. Weird, yes. But you have to give the guy points for his entrepreneurial spirit.

The Russian Kalashnikov Vodka has been around since 1995, and in variety of bottles/packages.

    The Kalashnikov Weapons Museum site
    (http://kalashnikov-weapons-museum.ak47-guide.com)
has some high-resolution pictures in Photo Gallery page – e.g. of Kalashnikov Vodka in the AK-47 shaped bottle.

In fact, it comes from ‘The Illustrated Virtual Guided Tour of the Museum of Mikhail Kalashnikov, the Designer of AK-47′ which features
A study of Russian-made Kalashnikov Vodka:
    - Why Kalashnikov agreed to lend his name to a vodka brand
    - Regular Kalashnikov Vodka
    - Kalashnikov’s 80th and 85th Anniversary Vodka
    - Kalashnikov Vodka and the AK-47 Vodka in a rifle-shaped bottle
    - Kalashnikov Vodka shotglasses (stopkas)
    - Kalashnikov Vodka promotional posters

There is a new AK-47 vodka introduced in Russia May 2005 – regular bottle with camo label and silver AK-47 pictured. comes in 0.5 and 0.7L bottles, but maybe there will be other kinds as well.

Is anyone out there going to Russia in the near future, because I’d Dearly LOVE to get two of the Kalashnikov Vodka Bottles. I really don’t care about the vodka-I’d buy two empty bottles if you had them. I’m really interested in the bottle itself, not the contents. Many Thanks…..
